  • Working Principle: It operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The input voltage is connected to the primary winding, and through the electromagnetic coupling effect, an induced voltage is generated in the secondary winding, achieving the purpose of voltage transformation.
  • Key Components:
    • Core: Usually made of high-quality cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets, the core is assembled with a 45-degree full-slit joint to allow the magnetic flux to pass along the direction of the silicon steel sheet joint, minimizing magnetic leakage and losses.
    • Windings: Consist of copper or aluminum wires. The high-voltage winding and low-voltage winding are wound around the core. High-voltage windings are typically located on the outer layer, while low-voltage windings are on the inner side. The winding form can be wound, epoxy resin filled with quartz sand, glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin poured (thin insulation structure), or multi-strand glass fiber impregnated with epoxy resin wound. High-voltage windings generally adopt a multi-layer cylindrical or multi-layer segmented structure.
  • Types and Structures:
    • Encapsulated Type: The windings are encapsulated by solid insulation, not in direct contact with the gas. The heat generated by the windings is conducted through the solid insulation and dissipated from the surface of the solid insulation to the air.
    • Open Type: The windings are directly exposed to the gas for heat dissipation.
  • Advantages:
    • Safety and Fire Resistance: Does not use insulating oil, eliminating the risk of oil leakage and fire hazards. It is suitable for places with high fire safety requirements such as high-rise buildings, underground buildings, and public places.
    • Low Maintenance: Without the need for regular oil change and maintenance, it reduces maintenance workload and costs.
    • Good Environmental Adaptability: Can operate stably in a wide range of temperature and humidity environments, and has strong resistance to moisture and dust.
    • Small Size and Light Weight: Compared with oil-immersed transformers, it has a smaller volume and lighter weight, making it easy to install and transport, especially suitable for locations with limited space.
    • Low Noise: During operation, it produces less noise, providing a quieter working and living environment.
